QSE Index Closes 1.47 Percent Higher

Doha: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) index closed higher on Thursday, marking a rise of 157.44 points, or 1.47 percent, to reach 10,850.91 points. The trading session witnessed significant activity across all sectors.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 135,885,912 shares were traded during the session, with a trading value of QAR 429,217,043.530. These transactions were executed through 24,535 deals, reflecting a busy day for investors.

The session saw 22 companies recording an increase in their share prices, whereas 25 companies experienced a decline in their stocks. Meanwhile, four companies maintained their previous closing prices, indicating stability amidst the dynamic trading environment.

By the end of the trading session, the market capitalization reached QAR 649,291,458,465.021, showing an increase from the previous session's QAR 640,533,239,772.623. This rise in market capitalization underscores the positive movement in the QSE index.
