Doha: Qatar Social and Cultural Center for the Blind (QSCCB) convened a one-on-one literary conversation with the writer and member of the Center, Rawda Mansour Al Nuaimi. Al Nuaimi shared insights into her career in reading and writing, culminating in the publication of her inaugural work, "Adventures Outside Time," which has recently been published.
According to Qatar News Agency, Al Nuaimi emphasized the crucial role her family has played in her career, providing unwavering support that helped build her character, foster self-confidence, and turn challenges into opportunities for success. She also discussed her educational experience, highlighting the use of the Braille method and later transitioning to electronic and technological devices, which facilitated her education in inclusive schools.
Al Nuaimi underscored the importance of inclusive education in honing skills and character, asserting that disability is not an impediment to ambition when willpower and support are present. She provided an overview of her book, which follows a girl named "Aisha" on a time-traveling adventure filled with challenges and self-discovery.
The publication reflects Al Nuaimi's passion for writing and imagination, aiming to blend enjoyment with educational value and inspire children to think and explore. She explained that her work conveys humanitarian messages and demonstrates the ability to innovate.
Al Nuaimi highlighted her participation in the Doha International Book Fair as a significant milestone and expressed her intent to publish more works that benefit children, instill positive values, and foster a sense of belonging. She also addressed the attendees with an inspiring message, affirming that loss and failure are part of the journey to success and that challenges provide the strength to pursue one's dreams.
