Doha: Qatar Research, Development, and Innovation (QRDI) Council and the British Council successfully concluded a five-day training program as part of the Qatar Research Excellence Workshop.
According to Qatar News Agency, the workshop was designed to support researchers in building the essential competencies needed for academic success in global, multicultural environments. Delivered entirely in English, the workshop series focused on strengthening academic writing, research collaboration, digital visibility, effective proposal development, and presentation skills.
A total of 37 PhD holders from academia, government, and industry participated in the workshop, bringing diverse perspectives and expertise to the sessions. RDI Program Director at QRDI Council, Aysha Abdulhameed Al Mudahka, highlighted the importance of the partnership with the British Council in supporting Qatar’s efforts to create a strong connected research ecosystem, emphasizing the investment in a knowledge-based economy aligned with Qatar’s Vision 2030.
British Council Country Director, Dr. Waseem Kotoub, also commented on the enduring partnership with QRDI Council, noting that the training workshop is a significant step in supporting Qatar’s Vision 2030 by equipping future researchers with the necessary skills to contribute to the nation’s transition towards a knowledge-based economy.
