qOoredoo Reports 5.1% Decline in H1 Net Profit

Doha: Ooredoo Group, a Qatari public shareholding company, reported a 5.1% decline in net profit during the first half of the year to QR 1.84 billion, compared with net profit of approximately QAR 1.94 billion in the corresponding period of 2025.

According to Qatar News Agency, the group stated that the decline in net profit was primarily attributable to a one-off legal provision in Algeria amounting to QR 208 million. Despite this setback, the group's revenue increased by 4.6% year-on-year to QR 12.5 billion. This growth was driven by strong contributions from Algeria, Tunisia, Iraq, and Palestine, along with steady service revenue performance across the group.

The group's financial data, published today on the Qatar Stock Exchange, revealed that earnings per share declined to QR 0.58 for the period ended June 30, 2026, compared with QR 0.61 for the same period a year earlier.
