Doha: Qatar Foundation (QF) and QNB Group have announced an agreement to rename the iconic Education City Stadium to QNB Education City Stadium. This decision marks a significant development in the collaboration between the two entities, as they continue to promote sports and community engagement within Qatar.

According to Qatar News Agency, the renaming is part of a five-year agreement signed at a ceremony held at the stadium, attended by HE Vice Chairperson of Qatar Foundation Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al-Thani and QNB Group CEO Abdulla Mubarak Al Khalifa. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to advancing sports as a key component of national development.

Since its role in the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the stadium has transformed into a hub for community activities and initiatives aimed at empowering women and girls in sports. The stadium serves as a center for women's and girls' sports and community engagement, continuing its legacy beyond top-tier sporting events.

QNB Group Chief Risk Officer, Fatima Abdulla Al Suwaidi, emphasized the importance of the partnership in supporting education, youth development, and national progress in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. The stadium stands as a symbol of opportunity and achievement, with QNB proud to support its ongoing role in inspiring and empowering people across Qatar.
