Doha: Qatar Cancer Society (QCS) announced that its sustainable awareness program "Your Health, Your Success" successfully reached more than 3,100 students across 124 public and private schools during the 2025-2026 academic year. The program included interactive workshops and educational activities aimed at engaging students of different ages and simplifying key health concepts.
According to Qatar News Agency, QCS plans to further enhance the program with innovative educational solutions such as interactive digital tools, smart educational games, and the 'Young Health Ambassadors' initiative. These enhancements aim to expand the program's impact and encourage students to become advocates for healthy lifestyles. The Society expressed pride in its ongoing partnership with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, which has been instrumental in implementing the program since its launch in 2017.
The initiative underscores QCS's commitment to educating students about healthy lifestyles, reducing harmful health behaviors, and increasing awareness of cancer-related issues, including risk factors, prevention methods, and the importance of early detection. The program also aims to reduce fear surrounding cancer and promote a positive understanding of prevention and informed health choices.
In recognition of its contributions to community initiatives and health education, QCS was honored as a National Partner by the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. This accolade was awarded during the closing ceremony of the "My Values Shape My Identity" project for the 2025-2026 academic year.
