QCB Governor Engages in Key GCC Meetings on Central Banking and AI

Kuwait city: HE Governor of the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al-Thani participated in the 85th meeting of the Committee of Central Banks Governors of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the 64th meeting of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Monetary Council, held on Sunday. These significant gatherings focused on several critical issues, resulting in the adoption of appropriate decisions.

According to Qatar News Agency, His Excellency also attended the Second Annual Conference on Enhancing the Gulf Cooperation Council Joint Action. This event, which took place on the sidelines of the GCC Central Banks Governors' Committee meeting, was conducted under the theme "Central Banks in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." The conference aimed to explore the evolving role of central banks amidst the rise of artificial intelligence, fostering cooperation among GCC member states in this domain.
