QC Chairman Stresses Significance of Strengthening Arab-German Economic Partnerships

Berlin: HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber (QC) and First Vice Chairman of the Arab-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Ghorfa) Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani headed QC's delegation to the joint meeting of the Executive Office and the Board of Directors, as well as the General Assembly meeting of the Ghorfa. The meetings were held in Berlin on June 17, coinciding with the 50th anniversary of Ghorfa's establishment.

According to Qatar News Agency, HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani emphasized the significance of strengthening the Arab-German economic partnerships. Commenting on the occasion, HE QC Chairman stated that over the past five decades, Ghorfa has played a critical role in strengthening economic relations between Germany and the Arab countries and has provided valuable services to the business communities on both sides. He highlighted the Chamber's contributions in supporting Qatari businesses by facilitating connections with German companies, promoting trade and investment opportunities, and enhancing cooperation between the private sectors of Qatar and Germany. His Excellency expressed a commitment to further strengthening Arab-German economic partnerships and building on Ghorfa's achievements in the coming years.

The meetings addressed the report of the Secretary General on Ghorfa's activities during 2025 and approved the Chamber's budget for 2027. Participants also discussed Ghorfa's planned activities and programs for 2026 and 2027. Discussions further focused on economic relations between Germany and the Arab world, with participants emphasizing the importance of enhancing trade and investment exchanges, expanding cooperation opportunities, and strengthening partnerships between the private sectors on both sides.
