Qatar’s Achievements Highlighted in Newspaper Editorials

Doha: Qatari newspapers discussed in their Monday editorials the State of Qatar's achievements in the fields of politics, economics, technology, development, sports, and culture, all of which contributed to promoting sustainable development, as state institutions continued their efforts to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 in the areas of energy, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social welfare.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers affirmed that Qatar is moving forward to continue this approach with greater confidence and a clearer will based on the achievements made to expand the horizons of competitiveness, deepen digital transformation, and intensify investment in human capital. The newspapers also highlighted the strong fraternal relations between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, which are characterized by strengthening cooperation and coordination at all levels, through regular meetings and bilateral initiatives in various fields, not only to achieve joint integration for the benefit and good of the two brotherly people but also to contribute effectively to strengthening the unity of the Gulf and Arab ranks, and to advance efforts aimed at achieving security, stability, and prosperity in the entire region.

For its part, Al-Arab newspaper noted that Qatar witnessed several important economic achievements and events during 2025 that contributed to promoting sustainable development, in addition to obtaining positive ratings from global credit rating agencies. State institutions continued their efforts to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 in the fields of energy, infrastructure, education, healthcare, and social welfare, the newspaper pointed out, all of which contribute to the state progress in implementing its promising projects and enhancing its image as one of the best models that can be emulated in ambition and achievement.

Qatar has become a promising economic model as its economy maintained a strong growth rate, Al-Arab underlined, adding that the financial sector has remained robust, supported by the increase in international reserves and foreign currency liquidity of the Qatar Central Bank at the end of 2024, with the credit rating of the Qatari economy remaining at high levels with major global rating agencies, thus confirming the country's resilience and continued attractiveness as a safe and stable investment destination.

Concluding its editorial, Al-Arab said Qatar achieved new progress in its development journey, ranking 9th place globally in the 2025 Global Competitiveness Report, issued by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland, marking the first time it has entered the top ten in this global ranking, as well as ranking 5th globally in workplace efficiency, in addition to 7th globally in economic performance and government efficiency, a breakthrough that demonstrates its robust financial policies, public institutions' efficiency, and governance quality despite global economic challenges.

In turn, Al-Raya newspaper affirmed that 2025 will remain a testament to Qatar's leadership at all levels as the country continued to achieve political, economic, technological, developmental, sporting, and cultural accomplishments. This year, which is nearing its end, has witnessed the consolidation of Qatar's position as one of the most stable and effective models in the region as it continued its blessed journey on the path of development and construction, placing human beings at the forefront of its priorities, and translating the Qatar National Vision 2030 into realistic programs and policies.

The country is confidently moving towards a digital society that provides greater opportunities for entrepreneurship and encourages small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate and compete, the newspaper said. In parallel, Qatari diplomacy continued its active and balanced presence, contributing to strengthening bridges of dialogue and supporting peace and development initiatives, based on a firm conviction that the stability of the region and the world is a fundamental condition for the prosperity of all people.

Al-Raya emphasized in its conclusion that the national commitments to climate and sustainability issues have been renewed through clear policies to reduce emissions, enhance energy efficiency, and establish a culture of environmental awareness in society, making the green economy an opportunity for growth, not a burden on development. As 2026 approaches, the State of Qatar is moving forward to continue this approach with greater confidence and a clearer will, building on the achievements made to broaden the horizons of competitiveness, deepen digital transformation, and intensify investment in human capital.
