Cairo: Daniil Sokolov, of the Qatari national golf team, has won the title of the 2025 Egyptian Amateur Open Golf Championship, which concluded at the Dreamland Golf Club in Cairo, Egypt. Sokolov secured his victory with a score of nine-under-par, outperforming a competitive field of Arab and international golfers.
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatari golfer Saleh Al Kaabi achieved a commendable fourth place, reinforcing Qatar’s strong presence in the championship. This performance contributed positively to Qatar’s standing in the general ranking of the Arab Golf Federation.
The 2025 Egyptian Amateur Open Golf Championship holds recognition by the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR) and is a part of the Arab Golf Federation’s series of championships. The Qatar Golf Association has focused on preparing its players through advanced training programs that aim to enhance their physical and mental capabilities, aiming for excellence in both regional and international competitions.
