Doha: In their editorials published Sunday, Qatari newspapers highlighted several topics, including HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani's participation in the inaugural summit of the Alliance for Europe-Gulf Geopolitical and Investments Summit, held in Athens, Greece.

According to Qatar News Agency, the newspapers emphasized that the Palestinian cause remains a fundamental and unwavering pillar in the State of Qatar's comprehensive foreign policy vision, as Doha continues to provide every form of political, diplomatic, and humanitarian support in solidarity with the brotherly Palestinian people and in defense of their legitimate and inalienable rights. The newspapers also highlighted the Palestinian people's commemoration of the 78th anniversary of the Nakba this year, while enduring a war in the Gaza Strip and an escalation in settlement expansion and displacement in the West Bank.

In its editorial, Al-Sharq newspaper stated that HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs' participation in the summit affirms Qatar's central role in promoting dialogue and cooperation among various regional and international actors and in opening new horizons for political, economic, and investment partnerships. The paper considered this participation a reflection of the State of Qatar's commitment to supporting Gulf-European relations and consolidating a policy of coordination and joint consultation on regional and international issues in a way that contributes to achieving security, stability, and sustainable development.

The Summit, the paper said, aims to expand cooperation in political, economic, investment, and developmental issues and strengthen the strategic partnership between the GCC states and the European Union, reflecting the importance of dialogue, cooperation, and international coordination in confronting challenges.

Meanwhile, Al-Arab daily commended the important meeting between HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani and HH Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah on the sidelines of the summit. The newspaper said that the meeting is an embodiment of the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and conclusive evidence of a strategic partnership that goes beyond formalities toward building a shared future.

Al-Arab pointed out that the meeting reviewed ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries and discussed important regional developments, particularly those related to the ceasefire between Washington and Tehran and efforts aimed at de-escalation. In conclusion, the paper noted HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani's emphasis during the meeting on the need for all parties to respond positively to the ongoing mediation efforts and address the root causes of the crisis through peaceful means.
