Doha: Qatari newspapers addressed several topics in their Tuesday editorials, starting with the State of Qatar's continued efforts to consolidate its position as an attractive investment destination through clear policies that embrace innovation and promote partnership with the private sector in a way that enhances foreign investment.
According to Qatar News Agency, on the local front, the newspapers noted the significant progress and qualitative leaps witnessed by the health sector in recent years across multiple levels, which have led to Qatar becoming globally ranked among advanced countries in providing integrated healthcare, comparable to the best health systems in the world.
On the Arab front, they condemned the escalated Israeli attacks on all fronts in the region, from the Gaza Strip to the West Bank and even Lebanon and Syria, where a new escalation of raids was witnessed yesterday, launched by the Israeli entity on the Lebanese front and the expansion of their scope from southern Lebanon to the north of the Litani region and the western Beqaa.
For its part, Al-Raya newspaper said in its editorial that Qatar continues to consolidate its position as an attractive investment destination through clear policies that embrace innovation and promote partnership with the private sector in a way that enhances foreign investment. This is part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's efforts to move forward in developing the business environment, promoting entrepreneurship, and empowering investors, which has led to a qualitative leap in establishing investment projects and strengthening the path to building a diversified, competitive and sustainable economy.
The significant surge in the establishment of investment projects reflects the robustness of economic policies and their ability to attract foreign capital to the country, the newspaper pointed out, adding that this marks Qatar as a promising investment destination in the region and the world. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry's top priority is facilitating the establishment of companies through expanding digital transformation and reducing procedures, making business completion faster, more flexible and transparent, the paper added.
Al-Raya pointed out that Qatar has become an attractive country for local and foreign investments due to its good reputation and credibility with everyone. This came after the country approved legal and regulatory reforms and provided economic facilities that made it an attractive environment for investments, maintained the strength of its economy, and was able to attract investors to it from around the world, and it has become a global center for safe and fair investment.
Concluding its editorial, Al-Raya said what Qatar is witnessing in terms of a remarkable increase in the volume of foreign investment does not represent merely an administrative modernization, but rather a transition to a more advanced and dynamic economic model based on leadership, innovation, expansion of digital solutions, empowerment of the private sector, and the provision of a business environment characterized by flexibility and transparency, which puts Qatar on a continuous path of sustainable growth and attracting quality investments.
In turn, Al-Watan newspaper noted the great progress and qualitative leaps witnessed by the health sector in Qatar in recent years across multiple levels, adding that the progress witnessed in the health sector, particularly in large medical institutions that have begun to compete on merit with their counterparts from internationally renowned institutions in the fields of treatment and nursing services.
Qatar attaches particular importance to educational and research centers in the health field, such as the College of Medicine at Qatar University, Weill Cornell Medicine-Qatar, the College of Health and Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, as well as Doha University of Science and Technology, and Sidra Medicine, the newspaper added.
The successes of the health sector is the result of decades of hard work for a health-focused society, supported by an integrated system that focuses on clinical excellence, sustainability and innovation, in order to improve and promote the public health of the population, while recognizing the role of excellence in healthcare to do so, Al-Watan concluded.
