In their editorials on Tuesday, Qatari newspapers highlighted the phone call between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, which emphasized the importance of maintaining stability in the Middle East and the need to intensify efforts to de-escalate tensions in the region.
The newspaper noted the State of Qatar’s ongoing efforts to achieve peace and enhance stability in the Middle East, which it considers a top priority in its foreign policy in order to end the Israeli aggression against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and stop the escalation in Lebanon.
Additionally, the newspapers addressed the third meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment for 2024, chaired by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, adding that the Council reviewed decisions and recommendations from its second meeting of 2024, as well as a report on project follow-ups and other matters.

at the State of Qatar’s efforts to achieve peace and enhance stability in the Middle East are relentless, highlighting the recent phone call between HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Republic of Iraq Mohammed Shia Al Sudani, which reaffirmed the importance of maintaining stability in the region and intensifying efforts to reduce tensions.
The editorial added that Qatar is among the leading countries actively supporting peace and stability in the Middle East, particularly concerning complex humanitarian and political issues like the Palestinian cause. For many years, Qatar has played a significant role in mediating between conflicting parties and seeking to end military escalations, especially the repeated aggression against Gaza, Al-Arab said, noting that these efforts align with Qatar’s comprehensive diplomatic strategy aimed at achieving lasting stability in the region.
Al-Arab concluded by noting that these ongoing efforts enhance Qatar’s international standing, sho
wcasing it as a moderate voice supportive of stability in a region marked by continuous tensions. In addition to diplomatic mediation, the humanitarian assistance provided by Qatar is a crucial factor in promoting stability in Gaza and other conflict areas in the Middle East.
In turn, Al-Sharq newspaper stressed that HH the Amir has been leading extensive communications and intensive efforts since the outbreak of Israeli aggression on Gaza on October 7 of last year, driven by a keen awareness of the serious implications of this aggression for the entire region.
The editorial highlighted the recent phone call between HH the Amir and HE the Prime Minister of Iraq, during which they discussed significant regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the situation in the region. They reiterated the importance of maintaining stability in the Middle East and the need to intensify efforts aimed at reducing tensions.
The newspaper also said that HH the Amir exerts every effort to work wi
th all partners to ensure civilian safety, reduce tensions, and halt bloodshed, ultimately achieving and supporting security and stability in the region.
Al-Sharq concluded by affirming that humanitarian duty precedes political considerations, and the deep concern for the regions security, stability, and prosperity drives HH the Amir to continue these efforts to ease the situation.
