Qatari Businessmen and Swedish Minister Discuss Economic Collaboration

Doha: The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) recently engaged in discussions with a Swedish delegation led by HE Minister for International Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade, Benjamin Dousa. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in trade and economic sectors, exploring investment climates, and identifying opportunities for collaboration between Qatar and Sweden.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions emphasized the importance of the private sector in fostering mutual investments and enhancing trade exchanges. The meeting was attended by HE Ambassador of Sweden to the State of Qatar, Gautam Bhattacharyya, and representatives from various Swedish companies operating in multiple economic sectors.

HE Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser bin Khalid Al-Thani, a QBA board member, expressed the association's dedication to expanding cooperation and partnerships with Sweden. He noted the remarkable growth in Qatari-Swedish relations, particularly in technology, innovation, renewable energy, and healthcare. He highlighted the interest of the Qatari private sector in forming partnerships with Swedish counterparts through joint ventures and expertise exchange, aiming to contribute to sustainable economic development.

HE Benjamin Dousa commended Qatar's progress across different sectors and emphasized the shared commitment to broadening cooperation. He encouraged Qatari companies to invest in Sweden's technology sector, citing Sweden's global ranking in innovation as an attractive opportunity for potential investors.
