Qatar National Bank Releases Updated Deposit Rates for Multiple Currencies

Doha: Deposit rates at opening, as issued on Monday by Qatar National Bank (QNB), reveal varying rates across different currencies and tenors.

According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for USD start at 3.96256% for a one-month term and decrease to 3.59586% for a twelve-month term. The Japanese Yen (JPY) begins at 0.35000% for one and two-month terms, increasing to 0.78000% over a twelve-month duration. The Swiss Franc (CHF) shows negative rates, starting at -0.02000% for one month, with a slight increase to -0.01000% for a twelve-month deposit. The British Pound (GBP) maintains rates close to 4%, ranging from 4.00000% for a one-month deposit to 4.03000% for a twelve-month deposit.

In terms of regional currencies, the Qatari Riyal (QAR) starts at 4.31667% for a one-month deposit, decreasing to 3.83333% for a twelve-month term. The Saudi Riyal (SAR) remains stable at 4.55000% for most terms, except for the one-month deposit rate at 4.75000%. The UAE Dirham (AED) begins at 2.05000% for a one-month deposit, rising to 3.15000% for twelve months. The Bahraini Dinar (BHD) starts at 5.07000% for a one-month deposit, with rates dropping to 4.63000% for longer terms.
