Doha: Qatar National Bank (QNB) has announced its latest deposit rates for a variety of currencies, effective from Sunday. These rates apply to different terms ranging from one month to twelve months and cover currencies including the US Dollar (USD), Japanese Yen (JPY), Swiss Franc (CHF), British Pound (GBP), Qatari Riyal (QAR), Saudi Riyal (SAR), UAE Dirham (AED), and Bahraini Dinar (BHD).
According to Qatar News Agency, the deposit rates for the US Dollar start at 3.73426% for a one-month term and decrease to 3.48648% for a twelve-month term. For the Japanese Yen, rates begin at 0.20000% for one month and rise to 0.90000% for twelve months. The Swiss Franc shows negative rates for shorter terms, starting at -0.13000% for one month and adjusting to -0.01000% for terms of six months and beyond.
The British Pound deposit rates begin at 3.70000% for one month, increasing to 4.03000% for a twelve-month period. For the Qatari Riyal, rates start at 4.08333% for a one-month tenure and decrease to 3.66667% for a twelve-month term. The Saudi Riyal has a consistent rate of 4.30000% for terms from two months to twelve months, while the UAE Dirham rates start at 2.05000% for one month, increasing to 3.15000% for a twelve-month period. Finally, the Bahraini Dinar rates begin at 4.53000% for one month and decrease to 4.36000% for a twelve-month term.
