Doha: Qatar Museums will observe International Museum Day on May 18, presenting a series of cultural and interactive events across its museums and institutions. This year's theme, "Museums Uniting a Divided World," aligns with the 50th anniversary of the National Museum of Qatar.
According to Qatar News Agency, activities will be hosted at the National Museum of Qatar, the Museum of Islamic Art, Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art, and the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum. These events will feature workshops, guided tours, storytelling sessions, films, and educational programs suitable for all age groups.
Qatar Museums CEO Mohammed Saad Al Rumaihi emphasized the role of museums in fostering learning, creativity, and social connection. To encourage widespread participation, all Qatar Museums venues will offer free admission during the celebrations.
