Doha: Qatar Foundation for Social Work celebrated World Social Responsibility Day, observed annually on September 25, by organizing a workshop titled 'What does it mean to be a part of the world?' The event saw participation from several employees across various governmental bodies.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatar Foundation for Social Work emphasized that World Social Responsibility Day highlights the significance of individual and institutional involvement in fostering cohesive communities. The foundation's mission is to promote values of participation and embed social responsibility as a daily practice that contributes to societal advancement.
On this occasion, Noor Al Muhannadi, Director of the Communication Department at the foundation, stated that the workshop is part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness about social responsibility. The objective is to make social responsibility a sustainable behavior in individuals' lives.
Al Muhannadi further explained that the individual's role starts within their immediate environment and impacts the broader society, reflecting the values of solidarity and cooperation ingrained in Qatari society.
The workshop covered the principles of social responsibility, not just as a theoretical concept but as a practical value experienced in daily life, spanning work, family, and community. Themes included understanding social responsibility, its psychological aspects, the role of Islamic law in promoting cooperation and community service, and maintaining a work-life balance.
The Qatar Foundation for Social Work continues to organize workshops and programs addressing community issues. These efforts reinforce social responsibility as part of the national vision, aligning with the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 for sustainable development and strengthened social cohesion.
