Doha: The Qatar Football Association (QFA), under the supervision of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), has launched the first phase of the AFC ‘A’ Level Coaching Diploma, as part of its ongoing advanced technical programs aimed at enhancing the qualifications and training capacities of football coaches.
According to Qatar News Agency, the program is hosted by Al Sailiya Sports Club and consists of six training phases, held once a month for a week each. Each phase combines theoretical and practical components, based on the latest AFC-approved coaching curricula.
The first phase focuses on offensive aspects of the game, along with theoretical sessions covering daily training unit management, team building, and pre-season preparation. The aim is to strengthen participants’ tactical and analytical capabilities.
The course is delivered by a group of AFC-certified instructors, including Dr. Mohammed Jadou and Wissam Shamil. Technical supervision is led by Abdelkader Al-Mughaiseeb, Education Advisor at the QFA’s Development Department.
The program reflects the QFA’s broader vision to develop a robust technical education system and build a new generation of coaches capable of contributing to the continued growth of football in Qatar.
