Qatar Engages in Strategic Talks at Singapore Airshow 2026

Singapore: The State of Qatar, represented by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), participated in the opening ceremony of the Singapore Airshow 2026. As a significant international exhibition in the aviation and space industry, the airshow serves as a global platform where senior decision-makers and aviation sector leaders from around the world convene to explore strategic partnerships and improve coordination among international partners.

According to Qatar News Agency, Mohamed bin Faleh Al Hajri, In Charge of Managing QCAA, led the Qatari delegation at the event, accompanied by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Republic of Singapore, Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Al Malki Al Jehani. The exhibition was inaugurated by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, Gan Kim Yong, in the presence of ministers, senior government officials, and representatives from international aviation organizations and global airlines.

During the Changi Aviation Summit 2026, held in conjunction with the airshow, Mohamed bin Faleh Al Hajri engaged in bilateral meetings with heads of civil aviation organizations from various countries. He met with Florent Serge Dzota, President of the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC), and Adefunke Adeyemi, Secretary General of AFCAC, to discuss technical and institutional collaboration, capacity-building initiatives, and enhanced coordination within international forums.

Additionally, Al Hajri held meetings with Raul L. Del Rosario, Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines, and Nadir Shafi Dar, Director General of the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority. These discussions focused on developing bilateral cooperation in air transport and strengthening air connectivity to support the growth of air traffic and promote commercial and tourism exchange.

These engagements demonstrate QCAA's commitment to bolstering international partnerships and enhancing Qatar's role in the global civil aviation landscape.
