Kuwait city: The State of Qatar participated in the 27th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee of Transport and Communications, held in the State of Kuwait on Thursday. HE Minister of Transport Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani led the Qatari delegation during the meeting.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministers addressed various topics to strengthen cooperation among GCC member states in the transport and communications sectors. Key decisions were made concerning the GCC Railway Authority’s operations and the progress of the GCC railway project. Updates on the land transport strategy were also a focal point, along with proposed amendments to the unified law for international land transport among GCC countries and its executive regulations. Additionally, discussions included several matters related to maritime transport, ports, and other pertinent issues.
