Qatar Engages in Economic Forum on Sustainability in North Macedonia

Skopje: The State of Qatar has actively participated in an economic forum held in the Republic of North Macedonia, concentrating on transforming sustainability into a competitive advantage and constructing resilient institutions amidst an unpredictable global landscape.

According to Qatar News Agency, the forum took place in Skopje on Friday and was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia, the country's Chamber of Commerce, and the UN Resident Coordinator's Office, in collaboration with the European Union mission. Representing Qatar at the event was Rashid bin Saeed Al Khayarin, Charge d'Affaires at its embassy in North Macedonia.

The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including HE Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski, HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski, and HE UN Resident Coordinator in North Macedonia Rita Columbia. Various diplomats, representatives of international organizations, and figures from political, economic, and cultural sectors were also in attendance.

The discussions at the forum revolved around strategies to enhance sustainability practices, improve institutional competitiveness, and develop more resilient economies to navigate global challenges and uncertainties effectively.
