Qatar Engages in 37th GCC Directors of Drug Control Meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh: The State of Qatar is actively participating in the 37th meeting of the Directors of Drug Control Agencies of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from June 25 to 26. The event aims to bolster collaboration among Gulf nations in tackling drug-related crimes.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Qatari Ministry of Interior has sent a delegation led by Colonel Rashid Saree Al Kaabi, Director General of Drug Control, to represent the country at the meeting. The gathering focuses on enhancing cooperation and joint coordination to combat drug offenses, sharing expertise, and developing preventive and security measures among GCC members.

Additionally, the Qatari delegation is taking part in the GCC Anti-Drug Week activities, which are designed to increase community awareness about the risks associated with drugs and strategies for prevention.
