Qatar Condemns Israeli Actions Against Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians

Geneva: The State of Qatar has expressed strong condemnation of Israel's continued violations and attacks against Palestinians, Lebanese, and Syrians. These actions, which include the expansion of illegal settlement activities and forced displacement, are seen as a blatant violation of international law and United Nations resolutions.

According to Qatar News Agency, these remarks were delivered by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Office in Geneva, Dr. Hind Abdulrahman Al Muftah, during her participation in the interactive dialogue on the annual report of the High Commissioner for Human Rights at the 62nd session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva. She urged the international community to take immediate action to halt these violations, end the Israeli occupation of Arab territories, and ensure humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip. Additionally, she called for holding Israeli officials accountable for their actions.

Dr. Al Muftah emphasized that peace, stability, and the promotion of human rights cannot be achieved through warfare and oppression but through dialogue, diplomacy, and adherence to international law. She also welcomed the agreement on the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran, which addresses issues like freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz.

The Permanent Representative reaffirmed Qatar's support for mediation efforts aimed at promoting security and stability and finding sustainable solutions to conflicts through dialogue and peaceful means.
