Cairo: The State of Qatar organized a high-level event in Cairo to underscore joint efforts by Qatar and Egypt in supporting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. This initiative is part of the ongoing humanitarian partnership between the two nations.
According to Qatar News Agency, the event featured the participation of HE Minister of State for International Cooperation Dr. Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, representing Qatar, and HE Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, representing Egypt. The gathering attracted numerous charitable and development organizations, including Qatar Charity, the Qatar Red Crescent Society, and the Qatar Fund for Development, alongside representatives from international organizations and humanitarian partners.
The discussions focused on enhancing field coordination and expanding humanitarian and relief aid in the Gaza Strip, addressing crucial needs such as food, medicine, shelter, and civilian protection amid worsening humanitarian challenges. The collaboration highlights the strong Qatari-Egyptian cooperation and the shared commitment to supporting the Palestinian people, reflecting the dedication of both nations’ leaderships to alleviate the suffering in Gaza.
