Doha: Qatar Airways has announced plans to operate limited flights to Doha following a temporary authorization from the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority, which confirmed a safe operating corridor. The airline intends to operate flights on March 8 to Hamad International Airport from several major cities, including London (LHR), Paris (CDG), Madrid (MAD), Rome (FCO), Frankfurt (FRA), and Bangkok (BKK).
According to Qatar News Agency, Qatar Airways emphasized in a press release that these flights are exclusively for passengers whose final destination is Doha. Tickets for these flights can be booked via the airline's website, its mobile application, or through travel agents. The airline also advised passengers not to arrive at their departure airport unless they possess a valid confirmed ticket for travel.
The airline clarified that these flights are not indicative of a resumption of regular commercial operations, as scheduled flights remain temporarily suspended due to the closure of Qatari airspace. Qatar Airways will fully resume operations once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority announces the safe reopening of Qatari airspace by the relevant authorities.
