Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone conversation with HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Both leaders focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing recent regional developments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the discussion centered on the enhanced diplomatic efforts and the coordination required for de-escalation, as well as the importance of maintaining security and stability in the region. HE the Prime Minister stressed the critical need for all parties to uphold dialogue and diplomacy, specifically adhering to the terms agreed upon in the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The conversation also emphasized ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital for safeguarding regional security and preserving recent achievements. His Excellency reaffirmed Qatar's full support for ongoing efforts aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive peace agreement that will ensure lasting stability in the region.
