Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud. During the conversation, the officials reviewed bilateral cooperation and explored methods to support and strengthen these ties. They also addressed the latest regional developments, with an emphasis on ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and enhancing security and stability within the region.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister highlighted the importance of commitment to dialogue and diplomacy by all parties involved. He emphasized the implementation of agreements under the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, which includes ensuring the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to secure regional security and maintain the achievements made. HE reiterated Qatar's full support for initiatives aimed at reducing tensions and achieving a comprehensive agreement for lasting peace in the region.
