Prime Minister of Qatar Discusses Regional Stability with Egyptian Foreign Minister

Beirut: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty. The discussion focused on bilateral cooperation and strategies to enhance their relations, alongside an exchange of views on recent regional developments.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation particularly concentrated on diplomatic efforts to bolster security and stability in the region, following the recent signing of a memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Emphasizing the importance of diplomacy, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted the need to protect the region from the repercussions of unwarranted attacks, ensure the freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and maintain a dialogue-driven approach to reduce tensions.

Furthermore, His Excellency reiterated Qatar's unwavering support for the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran. The aim is to achieve sustainable solutions to unresolved issues through peaceful dialogue, thereby enhancing regional security and opening new opportunities for cooperation and development. This reaffirmation underscores Qatar's commitment to the common interests of the region and the global community.
