Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Prime Minister of the Republic of North Macedonia Hristijan Mickoski. During the call, the two leaders reviewed the developments of military escalation in the region, discussing its serious repercussions for regional and international security and stability, along with ways to resolve disputes through peaceful means.
According to Qatar News Agency, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the Iranian attack on Qatari territory represents a blatant violation of Qatar's national sovereignty. He stated that such actions are inconsistent with the principles of good neighborliness and cannot be justified under any circumstances. His Excellency highlighted that Qatar has consistently aimed to remain neutral in regional conflicts and has facilitated dialogue between Iran and the international community. However, the renewed targeting of its territory undermines the foundations of bilateral relations between the two nations.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs called for the immediate cessation of all escalatory actions and urged a return to the negotiating table, advocating for reason and wisdom in addressing the crisis to preserve regional security.
For his part, HE the Prime Minister of North Macedonia expressed concern over the regional developments, urging de-escalation, restraint, and a return to negotiations and diplomatic means to prevent further chaos.
