Doha: the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani held a telephone call with HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Dr. Ayman Safadi. During the call, they discussed bilateral relations and efforts to strengthen them, along with mediation efforts between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
According to Qatar News Agency, both sides expressed satisfaction with the progress achieved in the negotiations, highlighting the announcement by the Pakistani mediation team of reaching the final text of the peace agreement. They voiced hope for a swift signing of the agreement by the American and Iranian sides.
Both leaders reiterated their full support for ongoing diplomatic efforts to resolve outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, aiming to consolidate regional and international security and stability. The discussion also focused on enhancing the prospects for sustainable peace in the region.
