Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain Jose Manuel Albares. The call focused on the latest regional developments following the recent ceasefire announcement between the United States and Iran, along with other issues of shared interest.
According to Qatar News Agency, during the conversation, HE Sheikh Mohammed expressed Qatar’s support for the ceasefire and highlighted the necessity of leveraging this opportunity to avert further tensions in the region. He underscored the significance of maintaining maritime security and ensuring the freedom of navigation and international trade in line with international law, emphasizing that these measures are crucial for regional stability and the security of global supply chains.
