Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Discusses Regional Security with Saudi Counterpart

Manama: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HH Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud in Manama. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the joint session involving GCC foreign ministers and representatives from the United States.

According to Qatar News Agency, the discussions centered on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing recent regional developments. These discussions were particularly focused on diplomatic efforts to bolster regional security and stability following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran.

During the meeting, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's full support for ongoing US-Iran negotiations. The aim is to find enduring solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, which would contribute to regional security and open new avenues for cooperation, development, and prosperity, aligning with the common interests of the region's and the world's populations.
