Doha: HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with HE Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf, on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit hosted by Doha.
According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing the cooperative relations between Qatar and Algeria and exploring ways to support and strengthen these ties. The discussions also covered regional developments, particularly addressing the recent Israeli attack targeting Doha.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized Qatar’s commitment to taking necessary measures to protect its security and sovereignty in response to the Israeli attack. Meanwhile, the Algerian Foreign Minister expressed his country’s solidarity with Qatar, condemning the Israeli actions as a violation of Qatar’s sovereignty and international law.
