President of Muaither SC Hopes Club Can Remain to Stars Expo League

President of Muaither SC Dr. Saleh Al Aji emphasized that the aspirations of the first football team in the "Stars Expo League" are significant, despite the loss they faced in the first round against Al Wakrah. He indicated that judging the team and the professional players cannot be based on just one or two matches.

Al Aji said, during remarks on the sidelines of the General Assembly meeting of the club, that their goal is to maintain their presence and compete among the top teams, building on the achievement of promoting to the premier league.

In addition, he expressed optimism that the team will showcase impressive performances throughout the league. He conveyed strong trust in both the professional players and the local talents the club has enlisted, all while adhering to the financial limits set by the budget. Notably, the valuation of players in the market has experienced significant demand and competitive offers. Despite the club's intention to secure specific players, limitations within the budget prevented such signings.

He highlighted that the team's most notable achievement from the previous season was winning the second-tier league championship and ascending to the first division, thanks to the collective efforts of everyone in the club.

The General Assembly meeting of Muaither Club discussed various agenda items, including approving the previous meeting's minutes and ratifying the budget proposal for the upcoming year.

Muaither is set to face Al Duhail, the reigning champions, in their upcoming league match at Khalifa International Stadium as part of the second round of the Qatari Football League Stars Expo League for the 2023/2024 season.
