Qalqilya: A Palestinian was seriously injured on Sunday by Israeli occupation army gunfire near the village of Jit, east of Qalqilya in the occupied West Bank.
According to Qatar News Agency, local sources reported that Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire on a Palestinian driver, claiming he had carried out a vehicular attack. His identity and current condition remain unknown.
In a separate incident, another Palestinian was injured after being run over by a settler near the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus. Medical sources stated that paramedics transferred the 21-year-old man to the hospital following the incident near the village entrance.
Meanwhile, Israeli occupation forces arrested a young man from Hebron and a young woman from the town of Al-Samu, south of the city. Local sources said that Israeli occupation forces, which reinforced their presence in the Al-Baqa’a area to the east of Hebron, detained the young man after subjecting him to severe beating.
They added that the young woman was arrested following a raid and search of her family home in Al-Samu.
These violations continue Israel’s policies of siege, economic pressure, and the suppression of any form of peaceful resistance, with direct effects on the Palestinian community, particularly children, women, and the elderly. Local and international human rights organizations continue to monitor these violations and exert pressure to achieve justice.
