The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that the number of people with cancer and tumors of various degrees has increased since 2021.
In a statement today, the club stated that about (24) prisoners suffer from cancer and tumors of varying degrees. Some of these patients had undergone a tumor removal, they need to be followed up thoroughly, and another part awaits a final diagnosis of the nature of the tumor.
Some 700 prisoners in occupation prisons who had been diagnosed over the past years faced difficult health conditions, including some 200 with chronic illnesses.
He noted that dozens of prisoners might suffer from illnesses and have not been diagnosed, stating that the policy of medical neglect is the most ruthless pursuit of the Israeli occupation prison administration and, for that purpose introduces tools aimed at killing prisoners. (QNA)
