Gaza City: The Palestinian Foreign Ministry said that the destruction of the Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip by the occupation is one of the most horrific forms of genocide and forced displacement amid suspicious international inaction.
According to Qatar News Agency, the ministry stated that the occupation had previously destroyed 34 hospitals in Gaza, systematically putting them out of service while continuing policies of starvation and thirst, as well as prohibiting medications from reaching citizens.
The ministry described the targeting of hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare workers as one of the most horrific forms of genocide and a blatant disregard for international community and humanitarian principles and laws. It said such acts are part of a deliberate Israeli policy aimed at destroying all aspects of life in Gaza, rendering it uninhabitable and forcibly displacing its population.
Further, the ministry emphasized that the UN Security Council bears full responsibility for its failure to protect civilians, enforce an immediate halt to what it called genocide, open border crossings, allow sustained humanitarian aid, and initiate all forms of comprehensive relief and reconstruction.
