Doha: The Pakistani military announced Tuesday the killing of seven militants in a security operation in Balochistan province, southwestern Pakistan. Pakistani news agency, citing a statement from the Pakistani military, reported that security forces carried out the operation based on intelligence information indicating the presence of militants in the Machh and Morgand areas of the province. During the operation, exchanges of fire broke out between army forces and militants, resulting in the deaths of seven militants.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Pakistani military has intensified its security operations in several border areas, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan provinces, in recent months as part of its efforts to combat militant groups active in these areas.
