Pakistan Flash Floods Kill, Injure Over 1,500, Including Children

Islamabad: The incidents related to rain, floods, and landslides across Pakistan have resulted in the deaths of 657 people, including 171 children, and injuries to 929, according to the latest count since the start of the flood season on June 26, 2025, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) of Pakistan announced Sunday.

According to Qatar News Agency, NDMA stated that the human losses were due to widespread seasonal rainfall, sudden floods, and associated hazards affecting multiple regions. It emphasized that it is collaborating closely with provincial authorities to accelerate relief and rescue efforts in the most affected areas.

The death toll throughout Pakistan from rain-induced incidents has risen to 657 since June 26, with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region bearing the brunt of the devastation, according to official data. Among the total victims nationwide, there were 171 children, 94 women, and 392 men.
