Geneva: Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said that a round of US-Iran negotiations will take place in Geneva on Thursday. Talks are set "With a positive push to go the extra mile towards finalizing the deal," Albusaidi added in a statement.
According to Qatar News Agency, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, speaking with American CBS News, said that Tehran is working on a draft proposal to be presented to the American side. He estimated that it is quite possible for both sides to prepare a good text and come to a fast deal. Araghchi emphasized that ongoing negotiations are focused solely on the nuclear issue, stressing, "We have every right to enjoy peaceful nuclear energy, including enrichment," yet adding that reaching a deal with the US regarding enrichment is feasible.
The Iranian Foreign Minister added that the two sides could reach a better deal than that of 2015, one with much better elements.
