Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman expressed its strong condemnation of the Israeli occupation’s attacks on the Syrian Arab Republic, its national sovereignty, and its flagrant violation of international law.
According to Qatar News Agency, in a statement today, the Omani Foreign Ministry reiterated its appeal to the international community, and the UN Security Council in particular, to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to ensure the full withdrawal of the Israeli entity from the occupied Syrian territories and the cessation of all its hostile actions affecting civilians. It called for the implementation of a comprehensive political solution in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2254, which aims to restore stability in Syria through a Syrian-led transitional process.
The Ministry reaffirmed its full support for Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and its solidarity with the Syrian people, calling for intensified international efforts to protect civilians and alleviate their suffering through the provision of necessary humanitarian assistance.
