Oslo: Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Espen Barth Eide called today on the Israeli occupation to immediately allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip to end the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe that has persisted since Oct. 7, 2023.
According to Qatar News Agency, Eide emphasized that Israel must lift the siege on Gaza and permit the immediate entry of humanitarian assistance. He highlighted that the situation in Gaza is dire, with civilians facing severe violations, and characterized Israel’s blockade of humanitarian aid as a serious breach of international law.
On Monday, Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), warned that the distribution of humanitarian aid in Gaza has become a death trap due to the ongoing Israeli bombardment.
