National Day Celebrations Highlight Qatar’s Strategic Planning and Cultural Values

Doha: HE Secretary-General of the National Planning Council Dr. Abdulaziz bin Nasser bin Mubarak Al Khalifa emphasized that Qatar’s National Day is a reflection of the country’s foundational values and strategic planning initiatives. In his statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), he highlighted that the achievements witnessed in Qatar are the result of deliberate and continuous efforts that prioritize human development and sustainability.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Al Khalifa remarked that National Day serves as a reminder of the journey Qatar has undertaken towards building a modern state, rooted in the principles established by the Founder Sheikh Jassim bin Mohammed bin Thani. These principles include a commitment to national identity, self-reliance, and the pursuit of development, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030. The celebration underscores Qatar’s dedication to unity, vision, and a prosperous future.

National Day is not just a commemoration of the past but also an opportunity to reinforce national loyalty and responsibility. It highlights the unity between Qatar’s leadership and its people and is a reaffirmation of the nation’s shared goals and aspirations. Dr. Al Khalifa noted that the day emphasizes values such as dedication, work, and respect for traditions, which are integral to Qatar’s strategic vision for sustainable development under wise leadership.

Dr. Al Khalifa also pointed out that the occasion encourages community participation in development processes and empowers future generations. It strengthens confidence in young people as key contributors to the Third National Development Strategy, ensuring ongoing progress and prosperity.

The Secretary-General highlighted the achievements of the National Planning Council, including the successful implementation of the Third National Development Strategy in alignment with Qatar National Vision 2030. The Council hosted the first and second National Development Forums, discussing economic and social development pillars, respectively, to foster societal dialogue on national priorities.

Significant progress has been made by the National Planning Council through collaborations with various sectors. Initiatives such as the National Data and Statistics Strategy, digital transformation projects, and the launch of the Qatar Open Data Portal have been pivotal. These efforts have contributed to Qatar’s advancement in global indicators across education, health, and economic growth.

In his statement, Dr. Al Khalifa emphasized the qualitative benefits of adopting modern technologies like digitalization and artificial intelligence.
