Doha: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) hosted its annual educational forum for the academic year 2025-2026 at the Qatar National Convention Center. The event was held under the patronage and attendance of HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater and was attended by a diverse group of participants, including school principals, teachers, students, parents, community partners, media representatives, and senior ministry officials.
According to Qatar News Agency, the forum aims to enhance communication with school leaders, teachers, and students, while reviewing the ministry’s strategic directions for the new academic year as part of the “Back to School 2025” initiative. HE MoEHE Undersecretary Dr. Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi emphasized the initiative as a welcoming celebration and an inspiring educational start. The event seeks to prepare all stakeholders in the educational system for the new academic year, strengthen partnerships between the Ministry and the community, introduce strategic projects, and motivate students and teachers for a positive beginning.
Dr. Al Nuaimi also underscored the occasion’s importance in fostering a supportive and integrated educational environment between home and school, aligning with Qatar’s educational goals. He welcomed new students, teachers, and staff, wishing them a successful start and praised past achievements, such as the expansion of early childhood education, inclusive schools, and scholarship opportunities aligned with the labor market and Qatar National Vision 2030.
The Ministry is committed to a balanced approach that addresses economic diversification and the shift towards a knowledge-based economy. The teacher’s pivotal role in educational development is highlighted through high-quality training programs and initiatives like “Tomooh,” “Tamkeen,” and “Tamheen,” which aim to hire Qatari teachers.
The ultimate goal for the new academic year is to provide quality education and prepare students to compete regionally and globally. New schools offering education based on international standards, while preserving national identity, are being opened. Students’ quality of life is a strategic priority, supported by an engaging educational environment that enhances attendance, participation, and academic performance.
HE Al Khater honored 28 teachers from the sixth cohort of the “Tamheen” program, aiming to enrich the educational environment with qualified Qatari personnel. Recognition was also given to partners contributing to the success of the “Back to School 2025” activities, including Ooredoo, Mowasalat (Karwa), KidZania, Al Rawnaq Bookstore, and Alif Bookstore, for their support.
The event concluded with a tour by HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education of the educational project’s exhibition, showcasing work by teachers in the “Tamheen,” promising start, and innovation leaders’ programs. These projects aim to improve academic performance, boost student motivation, and increase parental involvement in the educational process.
