Doha: The Ministry of Interior has announced an extension for all types of entry visas that have expired or are nearing expiration for a period of one month, starting from Saturday, February 28, 2026. This extension is subject to further prolongation in accordance with ongoing developments.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry confirmed that the extension process will be conducted automatically through the approved electronic systems. The process will not incur any fees, and there will be no need for individuals to visit relevant departments or submit additional applications.
For those whose entry visas incurred violations before February 28, the Ministry stated that affected individuals must first settle the prescribed reconciliation fine for the overstay period. Once settled, the extension and fee exemption will then be applicable from the mentioned date.
The Ministry of Interior is actively monitoring the situation and implementing necessary measures to ensure the stability of the legal status for both residents and visitors.
Additionally, the Ministry advises everyone to stay indoors, avoid unnecessary outings, keep away from windows and open areas, and to strictly follow the official instructions issued by competent authorities to ensure public safety.
