Doha: HE Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie has stressed the importance of intensifying field patrols in natural reserves and meadows to monitor compliance with approved environmental regulations, especially during weekends, in order to reduce environmental violations and ensure their protection.
According to Qatar News Agency, this statement came during an inspection visit by HE the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to several meadows within the Al Reem Reserve, including Rawdat Al Nuaman, Al Ham, Al Heem, and Umm Al Maa, as well as the Ashirj Reserve. This visit was part of an initiative to monitor the conditions of these meadows and assess their environmental status.
During the tour, His Excellency was briefed on the level of vegetation growth in the meadows and the extent to which it is affected by the rainy season. He also followed up on the environmental rehabilitation work and the efforts made to preserve the soil and wild plants. Additionally, he listened to explanations from specialists about the procedures followed to protect the meadows and the environmental awareness programs aimed at ensuring their sustainability and preserving their biodiversity.
