Migration Ministry announces the return of more than 500 displaced persons to their areas of residence in Nineveh

The Ministry of Migration and Displacement announced today, Monday, the return of (518) displaced persons who were residing in the Khazer camp in Erbil Governorate to their original areas of residence in Nineveh Governorate.

The Ministry said in a statement: “518 displaced persons who were residing in the Khazer camp in Erbil Governorate returned to their original areas of residence in Nineveh Governorate, in coordination with the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the Nineveh Operations Command.”

The statement added that “the programs for the return of the displaced come within the Ministry’s plan to end the displacement file in the country.”

According to the statement, the Minister of Migration and Displacement, Evan Faeq Jabro, directed the ministry’s cadres to ‘include newly returned families with financial grants, relief aid, and durable goods to support stability in the return areas.
