Meteorology Warns of Strong Wind, High Sea

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a forecast indicating that inshore weather until 6:00 pm on Sunday will be relatively hot to hot during the day, with slight to blowing dust in certain areas. The report highlights the anticipation of strong winds throughout the day.

According to Qatar News Agency, offshore conditions are expected to be slightly dusty at times, accompanied by warnings of strong winds and high seas. Inshore winds will be northwesterly at 12 to 22 KT, with gusts reaching up to 32 KT during the day, before reducing to 5 to 15 KT by night. Offshore winds will be northwesterly, ranging from 5 to 25 KT, with gusts up to 35 KT.

The sea state inshore is predicted to vary between 3 and 5 feet, while offshore conditions will range from 4 to 8 feet, occasionally rising to 12 feet. Inshore visibility will range from 4 to 9 km, potentially dropping to 3 km or less in some areas, while offshore visibility is expected to be between 4 and 9 km.
