Meteorology Warns of Poor Visibility, Thundery Rain in Some Areas

Doha: The Department of Meteorology has issued a warning regarding poor horizontal visibility in the morning and the potential for thundery rain in some areas during the afternoon on Saturday.

According to Qatar News Agency, the department's daily weather report indicated that inshore areas might experience misty to foggy conditions initially, transitioning to hot temperatures throughout the day. There is a possibility of local rain clouds developing in the afternoon, which may bring thunder in certain regions.

Offshore, the weather is expected to be hazy with scattered clouds. Wind patterns inshore will be variable, predominantly shifting from northwesterly to northeasterly at speeds of 3-13 knots, with gusts reaching up to 30 knots during rain in the afternoon. Offshore winds will also be variable, primarily from southeasterly to northeasterly at speeds of 4-14 knots.

The sea level is anticipated to vary between 1 and 3 feet inshore and between 2 and 4 feet offshore. Visibility onshore is expected to range from 4 to 9 kilometers, dropping to 2 kilometers or less in some areas initially. Offshore visibility will generally range from 4 to 9 kilometers.
